My psychiatrist is putting me on 30 mg. of Prozac but wants me to keep taking the 60 mg. of Cymbalta to make sure I can tolerate the Prozac. I’m scared of taking both because of that serotonin thing. It can take 6-12 weeks of gradual dose reduction to enable cessation of Prozac. I suggest a reduction of 5mg from the daily dose to be made once a week. For best results, contact your doctor. PJF Cymbalta alone wasn't working and at my next appt. my Dr. took me off cymbalta and the nxt day I started with 20 mg of prozac and it was increased to 40 mg the next day.
